What makes Egyptian cotton different from regular cotton?
Egyptian cotton is grown exclusively in the Nile Delta, where the unique climate produces extra-long staple fibres measuring 35-40mm — nearly twice the length of standard cotton. These longer fibres create a smoother, stronger yarn that results in fabric that is noticeably softer, more breathable, and more durable. Our cotton actually gets softer with every wash.
Is your cotton really organic? What certifications do you hold?
Yes, all Caico Cotton products are made from 100% certified organic Egyptian cotton. We hold both GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and Fairtrade certification — a rare double certification that very few baby clothing brands achieve. GOTS covers the entire supply chain from harvesting through manufacturing, ensuring no harmful chemicals, pesticides, or synthetic fertilisers are used. Fairtrade certification guarantees fair wages and safe working conditions for the farmers and workers involved.
Is your cotton safe for sensitive skin and eczema?
Absolutely. Our organic Egyptian cotton is naturally hypoallergenic and free from all chemical treatments, dyes with harmful substances, and synthetic additives. The extra-long fibres produce a smoother fabric surface with fewer loose ends, which means less irritation. Many parents with eczema-prone babies choose Caico Cotton specifically for this reason. All our dyes are GOTS-certified and free from AZO compounds and heavy metals.

What age ranges do you cater for?
We offer four ranges:
Newborn (0–3 months) — crossover bodysuits, kimono sleepsuits, leggings, and short sleeve bodysuits
Baby (3–18 months) — sleepsuits, bodysuits, leggings, bloomers, and rompers
Toddler (1–3 years) — a mix of baby and kids sizing
Kids (2–6 years) — lounge sets, pyjamas, tees, and shorts
How do your sizes run? Do you have a size guide?
Our sizes are true to age. Each product page has a link to our detailed Size Guide with measurements in centimetres for chest, length, and inside leg where applicable. If your little one is between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up — our cotton is pre-shrunk but slightly relaxed fits are more comfortable for babies.
Do you offer gift sets?
Yes! We have a lovely range of gift sets and multipacks from £42 to £125. Our gift sets are beautifully presented and make perfect presents for newborns, christenings, and special occasions. We also offer multipacks for everyday value — including bodysuit 3-packs, sleepsuit 6-packs, and more.
What colours and prints do you offer?
Our core colour palette includes Alabaster (cream white), Dusky Blue, Dusty Blush (pink), Sahara (golden tan), and Rocky Stone (grey). We also offer printed options in Alabaster Cotton Bloom and Sage Cotton Bloom — delicate floral patterns on organic cotton. All our dyes are GOTS-certified and gentle on sensitive skin.
Care & Washing
How should I wash organic cotton baby clothes?
Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Use a mild, eco-friendly detergent — avoid bleach and fabric softeners, which can coat the fibres and reduce softness over time. Tumble dry on low or line dry. Iron on a low setting if needed. Our organic Egyptian cotton is pre-washed and pre-shrunk, so you won't see significant shrinkage.
Will the cotton get softer over time?
Yes — this is one of the best things about Egyptian cotton. The extra-long staple fibres actually become softer and more supple with each wash. You'll notice a real difference after the first few washes. Many parents tell us their Caico pieces feel even better after months of regular use.
How do I remove stains from organic cotton?
For everyday stains, pre-treat with a gentle stain remover or a paste of bicarbonate of soda and water before washing. Soak stubborn stains in cold water first — hot water can set protein-based stains like milk. Sunlight is a natural whitener, so line drying in daylight helps with lighter coloured items. Avoid bleach as it damages the organic fibres.

Do you offer free delivery?
Yes — we offer free UK delivery on all orders over £50. For orders under £50, standard UK delivery is available at a flat rate. Orders are dispatched from the UK for fast, reliable delivery.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. International delivery rates are calculated at checkout based on your location. Please note that international orders may be subject to local customs duties or import taxes, which are the responsibility of the recipient.
How long does delivery take?
UK orders: 2–4 working days
Europe: 5–10 working days
Rest of World: 7–14 working days
You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order has been dispatched.
What is your returns policy?
We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If something isn't right, you can return unworn items with tags attached within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. Please contact us to arrange a return. Sale items and gift sets that have been opened are excluded from returns.
How do I use a discount code?
Enter your discount code in the 'Discount code' field at checkout, then click 'Apply'. The discount will be reflected in your order total before payment. Only one discount code can be used per order. If you signed up via our email popup, your code is WELCOME10 for 10% off your first order.
